Which web control panel?:
All professional web hosting services offoer some sort of control panel for managing your website(s), domain(s), and account(s). Web control panels are a graphical interface accessible through a web browser allowing you to accomplish various tasks such as adding / managing domains, creating / managing subdomains, creating / managing email accounts, managing FTP access, setting up / configuring MySQL databases, setting MIMe types, viewing stats, amongst many, many others. cPanel:
cPanel is probably the most popular web control panel software available today. Most web masters prefer cPanel over all other web control panels. While it is extremely easy to use, it provides almost everything a web master needs.

Plesk:
Plesk is a bit more user-friendly than cPanel but lacks some important functionality such as Telnet and SSH access, amongst others.

Ensim:
Ensim lacks some features that cPanel has and is a bit slower. However, Ensim is less expensive than cPanel. If your web host offers Ensim, make sure that they are cheaper than hosts offering cPanel.
